Post the Cross and the finished work of Jesus Christ, a new way has been opened to everyone who believes in JESUS – the way of friendship with God. With our sin washed away, and our account of sin cancelled by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ for our sakes, God invites us into friendship.

When I read this, I got excited. I am a friend of God. Just imagine that for a moment – a friend of the King of creation. This friendship, if understood, affects the very way I live from this moment of revelation onwards.
In Sri Lanka it is who you know that gets you anywhere, so I understand the implication of knowing and having friends in high places. This statement from Jesus really takes us to the ultimate level of power and authority and the ability to experience the supernatural to live in a realm that most of us have only wished we could have.
Everything in the Kingdom is about awareness and revelation. If you don’t know you cannot be influenced or experience the power of it.
Awareness is the key then.
In beginning to meditate on this truth “I am a friend of God” use the imagination to visualize that all revelation, all knowledge, and understanding dwells in God who is your friend. WOW!
Friends share their heart matters with each other. You can know all things that are in God’s heart, if you take time to be aware of who you are a friend of, because when this fact hits us and the truth of it is revealed in all its fulness, you will be set free to soar.
