Everything in our lives don’t happen by accident there is an ordained plan, similarly God ordained beforehand that Jesus Christ the Messiah had to be born in Bethlehem – Micah 5 tells us. God also ordained that Augustus Caesar would cause a census to take place so that everyone who belonged to Bethlehem came to get registered. Joseph and Mary two insignificant people unknown to the world came into Bethlehem to do just that as it was required by law.
Think about that for a moment…. Have you ever felt insignificant little fish in a global bowl of water in a world of 4 billion other fish, where all the focus is on politicians, Hollywood and Bollywood stars, cricketers and sports icons?
If you can identify with what I am saying please don’t be discouraged to be that little fish. What is amazing is this that all of those big fish are being guided by God, not for their own sake but for the sake of God’s little fish. Insignificant Mary and Joseph had to be got from Nazareth to Bethlehem so God organizes an emperor and his empire to bless His children.
Do not think, because you experience difficulties, that the hand of the Lord cannot save or isn’t in control. God has a purpose and a plan for you and me Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. And to that end God rules the whole world.
As Proverbs 21:1 says: “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will.” He is a big God who works on behalf of little fish. We have great cause to rejoice, that unknown to them, all the kings, presidents, prime ministers and world leaders follow the sovereign decrees of our Father in Heaven that we, His children, will fulfill our prophetic destinies.
So think about this and say out loud “I am a Little Fish in God’s Big agenda for me. And He is working on my behalf to make all things work together for good because He loves me.”
