Donkey

Have you been called a Donkey, if it’s so be glad and rejoice because the King of Glory needs you. Read the gospel of Mark chapter 11; 1-11 very carefully.

  1. JESUS needed a donkey to enter the City of Jerusalem Vs 2-3- which no one has sat on before. If you have been told you are a useless person, you can do nothing and you will never succeed, my beloved sister, brother rejoice when the whole world says you are useless and not fit to do anything the King of Glory needs you.He needs you to touch the lost world.

The Donkey was tied and needed to be loosed, that is why Jesus sent His disciples to loosen it. Most of the time we are tied with our past, with the ridiculous words, mocked by our peers and family, torn in pieces by our parents, so that we cannot see beyond the past, most of the time even though we live in the present our minds are tied to the past, so the Lord will send someone to loosen and untie you .

When I was tied to the past and never saw the present and the future. God used 2 awesome servants of His to give me a kick start, encourage me, and show me I can do something. My Bible College teacher Pastor John who constantly kept on saying Therese you can do it, the other was Apostle Rhuani who saw potential in me and keep on pushing me to make me an useful for the King of Glory.
  2. No one obstructed the disciples, who came to release the donkey, because the donkey was ready for the Master’s use Vs 5-6. When we are ready to serve the Lord, no one can stop us.
  3. The crowds threw their garments on the donkey, because they knew the King of Glory was going to sit on the donkey Vs 7. When people know you are serving the Lord, you find favour in their eye sight, they will bless you because they are convicted that you are serving the King and nothing can stop you.
  4. They cut branches and placed it on the road to welcome the King, but not knowing the donkey would have difficulty in carrying the King of Glory, Vs 8. People cut different sized branches and laid it in front of the donkey. People will throw different branches and lay them as we travel, not knowing that they slow our walk with the King of Glory.
  5. Even though the branches was thrown before the donkey, he was very careful not to drop the King of Glory, The donkey walked very carefully, because he knew his task was to take the King of Glory to the City of Jerusalem. In the same manner people who throw the branches to our pathway, don’t do it intentionally, but those branches can be dangerous with our walk with the Lord. We must be careful not to get our legs entangled in the favours thrown at us, it could be a hindrance to us carrying the King of Glory
  6. They shouted praises to the King of Glory, who was seated on the donkey, the donkey never got excited about it Vs9-10 , he was humble even though he was caring the King of Glory. He kept on going taking the King to the Temple Vs 11. When people see us they will shout praises to the King of Glory, we mustn’t get excited about it, or get filled with pride, we must remain humble and carry the King of Glory where He wants to take us.

Don’t let praises, testimonies, healings and deliverance bring pride into your life. When you hear the Hosannas and alleluias, lift it up to the Lord, and bend yourself more to the King of Glory.
