1. Wake up – This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14. Each morning you wake up in the natural you probably plan your day and make life changing decisions. As much as you are alert to the natural part of your life how much more should you and I be aware and cautious about our spiritual lives. Here the scripture is clearly telling us we need to wake up from the apathy and spiritual death we experience, and if we do Christ will shine on us. In other words watch so you will avoid danger.
2. Dress up –Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes Ephesians 6:11. Every day you dress well and perhaps go to work or even if you are at home you don’t run around without your clothes. We take such care about our natural clothing to look nice and be admired. How much more our spiritual clothing. How important it is to wear the full armour of God so that whatever is thrown at you that day by your enemy you will be protected. If you protect your spiritual nakedness with the armour of God nothing will be able to phase you in any way shape or form. No dart of the enemy will be able to penetrate or hurt you.
3. Stand up – As all the people saw the pillar of cloud remaining at the entrance to the tent, they would stand up, then bow in worship, each one at the door of his tent Exodus 33:10. The next stage to face the day would be to stand up and worship the Lord. In the scripture it tells us when the people saw the pillar of cloud they stood up. How do you view God each morning are you able to stand up and worship Him as He should be? Take time to stand up for God each day for even if you don’t see a pillar of cloud, He is still here. Its time to stand up and worship Him.
4. Look up – And he brought him out at the doors and said, “Look up unto heaven and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them.” And said unto him, “Even so shall thy seed be.” Genesis 15:5. As we continue in worship the Lord will lead us to keep looking up into the heavenly realms so that we can bring heaven down to earth. In this account Abraham was told by God to look up and count the stars if he could his children would be as numerous as they were. When we look up towards the heavenly realms our blessing will flow and it will be countless. As you look up today what do you see?
5. Shut up – They told him, “Shut up and keep quiet. Judges 18:19. When we go to God in prayer how important it is to keep quiet. In other words shut up, like the above scripture says. I find today people have little listening skills and are trying to give you their opinion even before you have finished saying what you have to say. God already knows what you need or want, so learn to shut up and listen. You will cover more ground if you do just that.
6. Lift up – And in the desert where thou sawest that Jehovah thy God lifted thee up, as a man will lift up his son, in all the way that ye went till your coming to this place Dueteronomy 1:31. When we choose to follow these steps only good will come out of it because eventually God will lift us up and take us to the next level. After all we want to keep going from glory to glory, follow the above steps and it will end up with us being lifted up.
