Establishing our boundaries

I woke up this morning feeling like I needed to just sit still and listen to what the Lord had to say, it was one of those mornings where I needed to hear Him speak and He did. He started showing me why the world was what it is today – filled with such hatred and chaos. Most events are unimaginable and never thought of or heard of. Suddenly there seems to be an escalation, whether it be through man initiated disaster or through natural disasters. The Lord spoke to me about how we have let the ‘little foxes spoil the vine’ (Song of Solomon 2:15) time. How the spirit of casualty and carelessness is destroying what He has placed in our hands. He spoke about how the pressures of this world has caused us in turn to adjust our values and beliefs, thereby compromise on our faith and choose to falter at evil.

It was clear as the Lord stressed on the importance of rebuilding and securing our boundaries. It’s to do with how we make the enemy feel uncomfortable than comfortable in our territories for God has clearly marked out our boundaries and dwelling places way in advance ‘And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings’ (Acts 17:26).

We as His stewards are called to fire-bound our walls, our homes, our families, our nation and be conscious not to let the sea get in to the boat, in other words we need to be in the world but not of it (John 17:14-15). Our lives our to be lived from a Kingdom perspective where sickness, poverty, disaster, distress etc. have no place to rule and reign. To keep fighting the good fight and gaining ground for Christ for His grace, love and mercy is sufficient to take us through this world in to the next.
