Please Read John 10:7-11
Doors are structures that allow things into houses, vehicles, nests, cages, etc…(in other words a passage way that we can come in and go out off). Doors represent so many things in our lives. Doors bring people, behavior and attitudes into our lives. It can also take away people, behavior, and attitudes out of our lives. We must be careful to whom and what we open the door to, if we open the door to the wrong people, attitudes or behavior patterns we can fall in to great trouble.
The most important door in our lives is the door of our heart, we build relationships, accept love warmth, friendships, with the door of our heart. When Jesus said I am the door, He was calling us to a relationship with the Father through Him. He was, is and will be the door that we can enter into a relationship with the Father. Though there were many prophets who came before Jesus, they could not help us enter into a real relationship with Father God. They were able to point out to us the living God, and show us a glimpse of what they experienced but were never able to take us to the place of intimate relationship with the Father God.
We always say that sheep are foolish animals, because the has to be led, fed and taken care off, but according to the text we see that the sheep hear only the Shepherd’s voice, that shows their hearing is very clear, and they recognize the voice of the Shepherd. Are you a sheep that hears the voice of your good shepherd, have you entered to the Father through the real door, or have you just listened to a hireling and gone astray.
Why do I say this? Because, if we hear about a Preacher, a man or a woman who walks in the Supernatural and great things happening through them, we run to that Church or meeting expecting to get all the answers for the circumstances we are going through, we listen to every word they speak, believe everything they say, we go behind them with a mind that some day he or she will see us through or take us to the promised land. The saddest thing is they can never be the answer to take us to the Father as Jesus did. This ends up in frustration and us fed up with life, with the God that he or she is speaking off.
Why did this happen? It is because he or she is only a hireling. They too go through to the Father through the door Who is the Lord Jesus Christ. The green pastures that they find from God the Father they teach and release to the people who are starving for it. However they cannot be the door for us to enter into a blessed relationship with the Father.
Therefore come to the door which is Jesus alone and be the blessed sheep who receives nourishment, provision, providence and healing from the Good Shepherd. Jesus the real and true door to our lives, where you will never get fed up, frustrated or confused, but He will lead us day after day into a better relationship, and give you abundant life, and eternity. JESUS IS THE REAL DOOR!
