“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
In Sri Lanka a lot of Businessmen have found it hard to get by. I get at least one call a day asking for prayer for someones’ business. Everyone else seems to be doing really fine. But for those who are committed Christians it is tough going.
In my own life I have had to face battle after battle even as I type this I am facing a battle of sorts. But each time it gives me an opportunity to become and over comer. I guess you could call “overcoming” a spiritual principle.
Almost every book in the old testament talks about how the children of Israel faced battles. Funnily when they crossed the Jordan before they entered the Promised Land, they fought only two battles. After they entered the Promised Land, they fought 39 battles.
God has given us much grace to over come our battles and mover ahead. When we honor God in our business ad whatever else we do in life, we will have to face opposition and battles against us by the dark forces of this world. To become and over-comer we must draw nigh to the Lord listen to the guiding voice of the Holy Spirit and then we will over-come.
When I was following Buddhism life seemed much easier to deal with when I became a Christian I found life became really hard and the battle got far worse. Just like the children of Israel. When they entered the promised land their battle multiplied.
Stand firm against these dark forces of evil that come against your family, your business and you. Jesus has won the victory in every battle you will encounter. Remember you are an over comer.
